Trail Running Film Fest Sept. 6

Mark your calendars! The 4th (almost) annual Trail Running Film Fest will be Thursday, Sept 6th, 7pm, at the Kenworthy. Like last year, we are encouraging you all to submit short films where you can show off your trail adventures on the big screen. Prizes will be awarded for the best short.

Palouse Road Runners donates $10,500 to local groups

Moscow, ID – Over the past year, the Palouse Roaders Runners donated $10,500 through their endeavors to local groups including local high school sports teams and clubs, scouts and church groups.  Local school running teams benefited from $2,320 of donated funds through their youth grant program.

Palouse Road Runners is a non-profit organization located in the Moscow, ID and Pullman, WA area. Palouse Road Runners organize and host 4 races annually, Snake River Canyon Half Marathon, Palouse 100K, Moscow Mountain Madness and The Fall Flash.  Palouse Road Runners supports local running groups though youth running grants that are awarded bi-annually.

Palouse Road Runners featured in Daily Evergreen

A constant thumping of shoes connecting with the ground can be heard over the gasps of people reaching for air as sweat and exhaustion covers their face.

“15 seconds,” Cara Hawkins-Jedlicka shouts.

The intensity of the thumping increases and then a whistle blows signaling a transition from running at a 5k pace to a more relaxed jog for the Palouse Road Runners, a local running club boasting over a thousand members. Elements required:

– reflect the unique geography and landscape of the Palouse

– able to be scaled to larger and smaller sizes

– include the words “Palouse Road Runners”

– appropriate for digital use (website, social media, etc.) and in print (flyers, shirts, etc.)

– should be original design and not contain copyrighted material

– no restrictions on colors, but should be suitable for all colors

The winning logo will be selected by the Palouse Road Runners Board of Directors in June, and the winning designer will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card!
